A brief post!
Just several days ago it was the Restaurant & Bar Expo, a three-day business event at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) that aims at top-end buyers in Asia-Pacific, mainly Hong Kong and neighbouring Macao and Guangdong.
It was open to trade visitors only, and with press registration I also went in there for a very quick look. Only for an hour or so though as it was quite busy at the office and I couldn’t be there any sooner than 5pm…
The exhibition was divided into five zones: World of Wine, Fine Food Village, Coffee Culture, Show Bar and one for new products, while bigger and more eye-catchy wine booths near the entrance include Jebsen, Macro Asia and Amorosso, where I stopped by and got a few drinks from 😉
There were numerous food booths too, and live competitions such as the Hong Kong Barista Championship, World Siphonist Championship and Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy.
Later in October and November are the busiest months for the wine and dine scene. Our magazine Spirito diVino Asia is very probably having a booth at the coming Wine and Spirits Fair, I’ll for sure keep everyone here posted 😉
New blog post on food coming soon!
